It is suitable for determining the vapor pressure of gasoline, volatile crude oil and other volatile petroleum products, but not applicable for determining the vapor pressure of liquefied petroleum gas. The maximum vapor pressure of a sample measured with a Reid-type saturated vapor pressure tester at 37.8°C is called the Reid saturated vapor pressure.
