This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements specified in the People’s Republic of China standard GB/T262 “Determination of Aniline Point of Petroleum Products”. It is suitable for determining the aniline point of dark petroleum products in accordance with the requirements of the GB/T262 standard. A specified volume of aniline and the sample are placed in a test tube (or U-tube) and mixed by mechanical stirring. The mixture is heated at a controlled rate until the two phases are completely mixed. Then the mixture is cooled at a controlled rate, and the temperature recorded when the two phases separate is the aniline point.
