The bromine value and bromine index tester is based on the microcoulometric principle. It uses a computer to control the measurement and electrolysis, and processes the data. The microcomputer integrates the current throughout the electrolysis process over time to calculate the electricity consumed for the generation of bromine. According to Faraday’s law of electrolysis, the bromine value and bromine index of the sample are calculated. The product complies with the standards SH/T 0630-1996 “Determination of Bromine Value and Bromine Index of Petroleum Products (Electrical Quantity Method)” and GBT 1815-1997 “Determination of Bromine Value of Benzene Products”. GB/T 11136-1989 Determination of Bromine Index of Petroleum Hydrocarbons (Potentiometric Titration Method).
